Community Spaces at Red Kit Meadows

Brewtopia Café sits at the heart of Red Kite Meadows, and it's genuinely open to everyone: residents, families, visitors, or anyone from Flitwick who fancies a coffee. Freshly made meals and snacks are served throughout the day, at prices that keep it properly affordable.

On a good day, you'll find people spilling out into the garden courtyard with a pot of tea, making the most of the sunshine. Pop in any time, no need to be visiting anyone in particular.

Need somewhere to hold a meeting, run a pop-up shop, celebrate a birthday or host a book club? The Community Room is a large, multi-purpose space available to hire, with tables and chairs that can be set up in whatever format suits, from theatre-style rows to round tables for a party.

A large TV and projector are on hand for presentations, so it works just as well for a training session as it does for a christening tea. However you want to use it, it's yours to book, and you don't need any connection to Red Kite Meadows to do so.

For something a little more focused, the Conference Room seats up to 15 and comes with a screen for presentations, making it a straightforward choice for meetings, interviews or training sessions. 

It's a proper working space, quieter and more contained than the Community Room, so it suits anything where you need people's full attention: a board meeting, a job interview, or a supplier presentation. Local businesses and organisations are just as welcome to book it as anyone connected to the care village.

An on-site GP surgery, run by Flitwick Surgery, means healthcare is genuinely on the doorstep for residents, who can get an appointment without needing to arrange transport or a carer to accompany them.

It's a small thing that makes a real difference to daily life here, and it's a welcome convenience for the wider community too: fewer people needing to travel into central Flitwick just to see a doctor.

Our hair and beauty salon is run by an independent local business [name TBC], with its own entrance so it feels like a proper high street salon rather than an add-on to a care setting. 

Residents can pop in for a regular appointment just as they always have, and the wider public are just as welcome to book in. It's one more way Red Kite Meadows works as a genuine part of Flitwick.

Not every home has the space for a proper soak, especially as mobility becomes harder. Our accessible spa bathroom is available to hire for exactly that: a relaxed, luxury bathing experience, designed so it's genuinely usable whatever support someone needs to get in and out safely. 

Some people book it because they simply don't have a bath at home. Others just fancy treating themselves. Either reason is a good one.

Our Changing Places Toilet is a fully accessible facility for people whose needs go beyond a standard accessible toilet, including those who need extra space or equipment to be changed safely and with dignity. It's open to members of the public as well as residents, meaning a day out in Flitwick doesn't have to be limited by where suitable facilities are.
